WaldenTRI President Derek Jones wins Triathlon England award

WaldenTRI club President Derek Jones has been given the Outstanding Contribution award at the regional round of the Triathlon England 2022 Awards.

He was nominated by many club members to recognise more than twenty years of contribution to WaldenTRI and to the sport of triathlon itself. Derek’s involvement in the sport has directly helped literally hundreds of people to enjoy their sport and become better athletes.

So now he goes forward as East Region's winner for consideration for the overall national award in March.

East Region Chair Claire Jenkinson presented the award to Derek straight after a WaldenJNR training session at Carver Barracks.
