About us
WaldenTRI was launched in 2000. Our principal aim was to encourage and attract community members to try this increasingly popular multidiscipline sport.
People like you: runners, swimmers and cyclists, whatever your sporting background.
And that’s what we did and continue to do, very successfully. We’ve also had a lot of fun with some fantastic people who joined us along the way and many friendships have been formed.
We launched our junior section (age range 7 yrs to 17 yrs) in 2009 and it is now one of the largest and most successful junior clubs in the country. Over the years both junior and senior sections have won a number of prestigious national and regional awards through the work invested in the club by our volunteers.
Those that wish to push a little harder have attained GB Age Group representation. In 2021, one of our previous junior members, George Peasgood, achieved silver and bronze in the Tokyo Paralympics.
The club is well managed with all the necessary protocols in place as it continues to grow.
Twenty two years old and still going strong – we are very proud of our record of achievements.
